This course introduces technologies that contribute to reducing a building's overall carbon footprint. These technologies are often referred to as Low or Zero Carbon Technologies. These technologies are now becoming mainstream. The course seeks to cover the technical issues, design and maintenance implications, and the capital and running costs that must be considered when contemplating incorporating systems into new and existing buildings.

The course also seeks to provide an outline of some key political and regulatory drivers that can influence technology selection, and these can be utilised by the delegate to provide a good foundation of information when seeking to validate technology selection.

Learning outcomes

A greater understanding of technologies that can positively contribute to reducing a building's energy footprint and the confidence to undertake feasibility studies to determine practical solutions.

The course is suitable for all those involved in improving the energy efficiency of buildings eg: energy managers, consultants, engineers, developers, facility / building managers, architects etc
