This is a one day course aimed at providing an introduction to Heat Networks and the CoP for those who are involved in developing Heat Networks and those using or specifying the CoP.

  • Gain a general understanding of Heat Networks
  • Gain an understanding of the aims of the CoP
  • Gain an understanding of how the CoP should be used
  • Gain an overview of some of the key requirements of the CoP for contract specification
  • Gain an overview of the benefits of the CoP for the consumer

This course is aimed at people working in the energy or buildings sector who want to find out about CP1 and what it means for their work and projects.

CP1 covers a range of disciplines and therefore the course will be suitable for a range of delegates, including project managers, consultants, engineers, contractors and operators. Particular sections of the course will be more directly relevant to each of these groups but all delegates will benefit from understanding how the objectives and requirements come together to ensure a successful project.

Delegates who have more experience of working on heat network projects are advised to attend the Heat Networks Code of Practice (CP1) 2020 Certification Course.

You must know and understand:

  1. The basic principles of heat networks
  2. The design principles of heating and hot water systems within buildings
