Your new company A well established mechanical and electrical building services contractor is seeking a Electrical Project Manager to join their team. The well established company is family owned with a fantastic reputation, giving them repeated work from varying clients including; educational, recreational and public sector Your new role You will be working as an Electrical Project Manager in a modular based construction factory in Hull with installations occurring across the UK. The split between Hull and installation work is typically a 50/50 split. This role will need someone in strength of electrical knowledge in site management but also in office related duties. The clients in which you will be catering for are varied and include; MOD, Commercial and accommodation. What you\'ll need to succeed You will have strong electrical knowledge in a project management capacity. This will include suitable electrical qualifications, preferably with site management qualifications e.g. SSSTS. Senior/Principal Electrical Engineer

We work on a very wide range of projects including many listed buildings and very high end residential projects but also complex research sites, some hospital projects and the greening of some of the most prestigious office buildings in central London. We were green before it was fashionable, and developing innovative ways of reducing carbon output is at the core of all we do. We are known for our attention to detail, our ability to develop new and innovative solutions to problems and our strong monitoring of the construction stages of projects, our preference is always to take projects to detail rather than performance design. Almost all our work comes through recommendation. Your role would be to lead projects, lead Client and Architect meetings and presentations, manage resources, lead the design and coordination of projects including the production of concept designs, calculations, drawings, specifications and schedules. You would also attend site meetings and take responsibility for projects from start to finish. You will be working directly with the Managing partner, and will have the opportunity to develop both your role and the business. You will need to be very architecturally aware, and have experience of a wide range of project types. You should have a good understanding of mechanical systems. Whilst professional qualifications are important we also place high value in real experience. You will need good communication skills, and be able to produce clear and well written reports when necessary. Ability to use AutoCAD is required, and Revit would be useful but not essential. You should have good knowledge and understanding of current Building Regulations, CIBSE and IET guidance. Principal Electrical Engineer

Principal Electrical Engineer - To 70K + Package + 9-day fortnight Do you value your work / life balance? Heating Project Manager (NIHE)

Your new company The services of Hays have been retained by our client, the Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE) to recruit a Heating Project Manager. Based from their Craigavon office within their Asset Management Project Delivery team. This organisation has more than 85,000 properties and employs 3,000 members of staff throughout NI. Your new role The purpose of this role is to manage the Planned Response section of a major contract and coordinate the region's response heating inspectorate team. You will also assist the senior M&E Manager in the strategic delivery of an effective regional based heating programme. Some of the main duties include: Ensuring the response heating service is delivered in accordance with NIHE policies and ensure legislation and best practices are met. Update and maintain lists of contractors staff and operatives including qualification requirements for various types of heating. Coordinate and manager the NIHEs Heating contractors ensuring high performance and value for money. Authorise works instructions within designated approval levels ensuring correct cost allocations, priority and appropriateness of works. A full job description can be provided on request. What you'll need to succeed Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering plus 2 years post qualification experience. OR BTEC HNC or HND in Mechanical Engineering plus 3 years post qualification experience. It would be beneficial to have Gas Safe: CCNI and or Oftec 101,105 & 600, but this is not essential. What you'll get in return Salary range, up to £38,296. You will get the opportunity to work for a large Housing Body on an ongoing temporary contract. This position offers an immediate start with weekly payment via BACS transfer with all business mileage expenses being reimbursed at 45p per mile.
